Directions to Vogelgat: Drive through Hermanus following directions to Stanford & ±3 kms out of Hermanus you'll see the Vogelgat Reserve buildings on the left hand side up against the mountain. There's a road sign that says turn left just after a bridge. Vogelgat isn't well signposted so be observant. A little tarred driveway, hidden, leads off to the left to the Vogelgat office. If you arrive in Stanford you've gone too far. |

It's time again to follow the Liesbeeck from the trail start in Rosebank through Rondebosch,along a beautiful path to the Breweries in Newlands where we finished last time. This time we will continue, using an interesting shady route through suburban Claremont, to meet it again at Paradise Motors; and then we'll follow it right up to Kirstenbosch, where we will break and return to Rosebank, with optional drinks after at the River Club, bring money. Hat and sunblock advisable if hot and flat walking shoes. |
